More than 300 riders clipped into stationary bikes and pedaled their way through the sold-out 7th Annual Africk Family Foundation Spin-A-Thon, raising a record $68,000. This was nearly double last year’s total and will benefit the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Broward Health Medical Center.
Presented by OmegaXL Sport, the high-energy glow ride at host sponsor Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort featured teams decked in bright colorful attire competing on spin bikes with invigorating music provided by a live DJ.
“The Africk Family Foundation is proud to support the mission of Broward Health Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program,” said Pam and Steve Africk. “We consider cardiac rehabilitation an integral part of the journey for those who are affected by cardiovascular disease. It is our pleasure and commitment now, and in the future, to be supportive of this initiative at Broward Health.”
