Dr. Ileana A. Torres-Burgos is a pediatric and fetal cardiologist on staff at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s. She has been with the hospital since July of 2023 after joining KIDZ Medical Services. Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Torres-Burgos completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico and her Doctor of Medicine at Ponce Health Sciences University- School of Medicine. She completed her Residency in General Pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and her Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where she was Chief Fellow from 2022 to 2023.

Dr. Torres-Burgos speaks both English and Spanish fluently, which allows her to develop trust with patients and ensures inclusive healthcare. She says the best part about her job is being able to educate families about their children’s heart conditions and connecting them with the care they need.
