Several St. Mary’s Medical Center nurses recently volunteered their time with Remote Area Medical (RAM), an organization dedicated to providing free medical resources to people who have limited access to healthcare. Joyce Querido, Kayla Marzullo, and Kyra Kaplan drove to Evensville, Tennessee and spent a week providing healthcare services including dental, vision and medical care. The nurses triaged patients by checking their vital signs and blood pressure, and assessing their medical history. Patients travelled in from Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina to take advantage of this complimentary service.  RAM is a major nonprofit provider of free mobile clinics, and its mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality healthcare to those in need.
