Management Resources College (MRC) is taking great strides in nursing education in South Florida. In 2012 Management Resources Institute began offering an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. In 2014 MRI gained College status, became Management Resources College (MRC) and has continued to gain momentum. In 2015 MRC was awarded accreditation from the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). The decision to seek new accreditation was prompted by an overwhelming amount of requests from MRC nursing graduates to offer an RN to BSN program and the need for more baccalaureate prepared nurses within the community. Although MRC has been accredited by the Commission on Occupational Education (COE) since 2007, COE limited MRC to awarding associate degrees as the highest level. The transition to ACICS accreditation allows MRC to award bachelor level degrees and beyond. MRC has since added a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (RN to BSN). MRC is proud to announce that the inaugural RN to BSN class began May 2015. In addition, MRC has added a 3-year accelerated Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing pre-licensure program, which will begin in September 2015. Along with Financial Aid, MRC offers the Dr. Juan G. Solana Scholarship for the Colleges nursing students who qualify and need a little extra help financing their way through school. This Scholarship was founded to help struggling foreign medical graduates seeking to reposition themselves as healthcare professionals in the United States and to avoid the hardships the College President’s own family endured when they arrived in the United States. MRC also offers job placement assistance for its students and graduates. Management Resources College has become the College to keep an eye on for nursing education in South Florida. MRC strives to be the College of choice for many students, who struggle to make it in larger and even publicly funded Colleges. At MRC students find a family atmosphere which fosters education and emotional stability while emphasizing professional growth and development. MRC students and graduates are not just a number, but a part of the MRC family!
