Dr. Ortiz brings more than a decade of patient care experience to TGH Advanced Kidney Care in Palm Beach County
August 2, 2023 – Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Advanced Kidney Care, which has been delivering world-class nephrology services to Palm Beach County for more than 30 years, has expanded its team by adding Dr. Ramon Alberto Ortiz. Ortiz is a board-certified internal medicine specialist and is fellowship-trained in nephrology.
Ortiz brings more than a decade of patient care experience to his role at TGH Advanced Kidney Care. He was a hospitalist at Florida Flagler Hospital (now AdventHealth) in Palm Coast, Fla., and Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. He received his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. From there, Ortiz completed an internship in psychiatry, as well as a residency in internal medicine, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., before completing his fellowship in nephrology in June 2023 at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla.

Through a patient-centered, comprehensive approach, TGH Advanced Kidney Care’s nephrologists diagnose and treat all aspects of kidney disease, with the goal of preserving kidney function and overall health. TGH Advanced Kidney Care follows National Kidney Foundation Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (NKF-KDOQI) guidelines to provide a level of care held to the highest standards.
