April 6, 2023 – On the evening of Thursday, March 30th, 2023, elected officials, community leaders, and first responders from across Broward County joined the TaskForce Fore Ending Homelessness to celebrate 20 years of collaboration and commitment to end homelessness. Over 190 people attended the event as individuals and organizations were recognized in five categories for dedicating their time, talent, and energy to that shared mission.

Law Enforcement Officer of the Year – Officer Brian Blount, Fort Lauderdale Police Department
Elected Official of the Year – Nan Rich, Broward County Vice Mayor
Agency of the Year – Broward Partnership for the Homeless
City of the Year – City of Hollywood
Lifetime Achievement – Julie Solomon, Patient Support Service Coordinator, Broward Health
In addition to the awards presentation, the event also served as an opportunity to launch its new flex fund which will provide support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness as they move into permanent housing.
Since 1999, the TaskForce has been providing comprehensive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Through funding from various government, non-profit and charity organizations, the organization provides a path for people to regain permanent housing stability and get connected to critical healthcare and human services.
