As a director of technical services and end-user support, Eric Shorr has played an integral role in overseeing Broward Health’s transition to the Epic Electronic Medical Records system. His responsibilities include managing technical infrastructure projects that involve hardware deployment and end-user support.

As a child, Eric’s passion for technology was sparked by watching his brother build computers. He was drawn to the healthcare industry for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within his community.

“I’ve always been passionate about problem-solving, and healthcare offers a unique opportunity to apply those skills in a way that directly benefits my community,” said Eric. “The ability to support healthcare professionals in providing quality care through reliable and efficient IT systems is incredibly rewarding.”

Before joining Broward Health four years ago, Eric worked at Tenet Health. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.
