In addition to her role as regional medical director of pediatric surgery, Dr. Fischer is on the medical staff at the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Previously, she served as the surgeon-in-chief at Beaumont’s Children Hospital and the chief of pediatric surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.

 

Dr. Fischer completed general surgery residency and medical school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, where she went on to earn a Ph.D. in immunology and do her postdoctoral fellowship at the university’s Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Fischer completed her pediatric surgery fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital, which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School. She was a professor at Oakland University’s William Beaumont School of Medicine in Royal Oak, Mich., and has held numerous faculty academic appointments during her professional medical career at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
