Imagine being able to stop the aging process of your employees! Imagine being able to make your unhealthy employees healthier – and more importantly, to keep your healthy employees healthy! Imagine being able to stop the increase in healthcare premiums because you have slowed down the rate of healthcare claims. Imagine being able to reduce employee absenteeism and turnover and increase worker productivity. Finally, imagine that for every dollar spent on worksite wellness programs, you receive anywhere from two to five dollars return on your investment through savings. Research has shown time and time again that companies with comprehensive worksite wellness programs can achieve these outcomes from their efforts.

The Worksite Wellness Committee of the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade, an initiative of the Miami-Dade County Health Department, invites you to attend its second annual “South Florida Worksite Wellness Forum and Awards” ceremony on Friday, April 9 at the Ritz Carlton on Miami’s South Beach. Key Note Speaker, Jason Lang, MPH, MS is Public Health Advisor for the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez will be presenting the awards to the winners in the large, mid-sized and small business categories.

The program will honor South Florida companies located in Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties that have demonstrated a commitment to employee wellness, highlight local programs and services that support employee wellness, and provide resources for companies wishing to start or improve existing programs. Business owners, managers, human resource professionals, insurance brokers and those interested in wellness are all encouraged to attend.
