For more than 45 years, Jupiter Medical Center has been proud to serve our community by offering a comprehensive array of cancer services in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. In March of 2024, the award-winning hospital’s Anderson Family Cancer Institute marked its fifth anniversary, celebrating the Institute’s commitment to ensuring that cancer patients and their families have convenient access to world-class care, services and amenities that are integrated into one location.

This state-of-the-art institute provides patients access to some of the most renowned physician experts and advanced technologies available in the South Florida region, rivaling that of major academic medical centers around the country. While our team of multispecialty experts treats all types of cancer, we have specialty areas, including Comprehensive Breast Care, a Thoracic Surgery & Lung Center of Excellence, Gynecologic Oncology, Gastrointestinal Oncology and Urologic Oncology.

Where technology and compassion meet is the guiding principle for multidisciplinary care for patients with breast cancer. Our experienced team combines clinical excellence, state-of-the-art screening and diagnostic tools, innovative surgical techniques, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy treatment options. The Comprehensive Breast Care Program was the first program in Palm Beach and Martin counties to earn the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers designation; patients can be assured that we are committed to providing the highest quality breast care.

Our multispecialty team includes breast surgical oncologists, medical and radiation oncologists, breast imaging specialists, and pathologists. Patients also have the opportunity to meet with a cancer genetics expert. Each patient is assigned a nurse navigator to help coordinate and facilitate specialist consultations and any additional workup. Nurse navigators play a crucial role in the process by helping alleviate some of the stresses newly diagnosed patients face and providing support, guidance and education to patients and their families throughout their cancer journey. From care coordination to emotional support to advocacy, nurse navigators offer expertise and compassion that help patients feel empowered and informed as they navigate the complexities of cancer care.

Multidisciplinary clinics allow patients to meet with a team of specialists in medical, surgical and radiation oncology, as well as support services, in one day, under one roof. This ensures patients and their families can enjoy the comfort and convenience of staying close to home without the unnecessary inconvenience of traveling to multiple locations for their cancer care. As a result, patients leave with a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to their individual needs.

Cancer care is intricate, and it keeps getting more complex. That is why the current standard of care is to work with a comprehensive, multi-treatment, multi-modality cancer team that focuses on helping patients not only survive the disease but thrive after cancer.
