The Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (FBCCEDP) at the Broward County Health Department was recently awarded a $150,000 grant from the Health Foundation of South Florida. FBCCEDP serves medically underserved women ages 50 to 64 residing in Broward, Palm Beach and Martin Counties who need breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services. Enrollment in FBCCEDP includes a clinical breast examination, mammogram, Pap test and any needed breast or cervical diagnostic procedures at no cost. The grant will fund 1200 mammographic screenings for women ages 50 to 64 who reside in Broward County.
