Orthopedic surgeon Theodore Evans, M.D., has been elected president of the 300 physicians on the Homestead Hospital medical staff. Prior to serving as president-elect from 2005-2007, he served as chief of surgery from 2003-2005 and has been on the medical staff at Homestead Hospital since 1989.

Dr. Evans is Board-certified in orthopedic surgery and has been licensed to practice medicine in Florida since 1985. He received his medical degree from University of Miami School of Medicine in 1984, completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and has practiced general orthopedics and sports medicine with South Dade Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. since 1989.
