VITAS Innovative Hospice Care® has named three members of its Palm Beach County program to its prestigious Leadership Council.

The three are Kathleen Macaluso, R.N., Jane Merritt, and Diana Smith, R.N.

Macaluso joined VITAS in 2005 as an admissions nurse. She was promoted to team manager in 2006. Prior to joining VITAS, she served as director of nursing for a skilled nursing facility.

Merritt joined VITAS in 2006 as a representative, then senior representative in long-term care facilities. She was promoted to director of market development for the Palm Beach County program in 2008 and was recently promoted to regional director of market development for the State of Florida.

Smith joined VITAS in 1993 as a nurse in the Miami-Dade/Monroe program, then the Broward County program. She served as a team manager in both Broward County and Palm Beach County before her promotion to patient care administrator.
