March 7, 2023 – The American Heart Association’s Palm Beach County office is proud to announce three new additions to its board of directors: Dr. Teresita Casanova, neurologist at Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, Darcy Davis, chief executive officer of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County and Trey Mahoney, managing director of Private Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services.

Board Chair Grasford W. Smith, litigation partner with Akerman, LLP, said each of the three additions will bring a valuable new perspective to the work of the American Heart Association Palm Beach County.

“This local team is making huge strides to improve health equity and access in Palm Beach County, and our three new members each have unique professional experiences that can help us identify new ways to impact our community,” Smith said.

Each new board member can serve up to two three-year terms.

The American Heart Association Palm Beach County serves the residents of Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. Board members will assist the organization in guiding efforts to reduce the incidences of heart disease and stroke, the Nos. 1 and 5 leading killers, respectively, of American men and women.
