Unit to provide specialized care and enhanced recovery for ventilator-dependent patients

The nine-bed unit, opening today, marks a significant step forward in the care and rehabilitation of medically complex patients in Southern California.
The dedicated unit offers a unique approach to ventilator liberation, consolidating ventilated patients into a centralized hospital unit where they receive aggressive respiratory and physical therapy, as well as expert medical management. Unlike traditional acute rehab units or long-term acute care hospitals, this innovative care model enhances patient recovery, reduces ICU overcrowding and balances hospital resources while delivering life-changing results.
With a proven track record of industry-leading outcomes, TriVent achieves a ventilator liberation rate of over 85% – more than 40% higher than the national average – while reducing patient length of stay by 32% and readmission rates by 80%.
