The University of Miami International Medicine Institute at the Miller School of Medicine received the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s International Business Leadership Award in the not-for-profit category for its contributions to international medicine, education and research and for its role as a vital component to the South Florida community.

“Our institution not only brings recognition and revenues to Miami, but also takes the reputation of our great city and the mission of UHealth-University of Miami Health System back with our patients, students and clinicians,” said Eduardo de Marchena M.D., director of the International Medicine Institute and associate dean for international medicine at the Miller School, who accepted the award on behalf of the institute.
