APRIL 30, 2026 – United Way Broward celebrated another successful Annual Mayors’ Gala on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where influential community leaders, philanthropists and changemakers gathered for a powerful evening dedicated to strengthening lives and advancing solutions to one of Broward County’s most pressing challenges: affordable housing.

This year’s gala spotlighted United Way Broward’s United for Housing initiatives and featured a major announcement that funds raised from the event will support housing initiatives, affordability efforts, and a building recently acquired by United Way Broward to help advance this work and expand impact for individuals and families in need.

The prestigious evening brought together more than 800 Broward County municipal officials, business leaders, community partners and supporters united by a shared commitment to building a stronger, more resilient Broward County. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, and special live entertainment by Joey Fatone (NSYNC, television, film and Broadway). Attendees also watched three impactful videos highlighting real-life cases of families/individuals who have been supported through United Way Broward’s programs, offering a powerful look into the organization’s work in action. Several of the featured people were in attendance, making the experience even more meaningful and reinforcing the tangible difference these programs make within the community.

Kathleen Cannon, President & CEO of United Way Broward joined with Co-Chairs Allison and Andy Cagnetta, Founder of Transworld Business Advisors of Florida, helped lead the evening’s philanthropic efforts, reinforcing the community-wide commitment needed to address housing challenges and support long-term solutions.
