Walter “Ted” Shaw is bringing his expertise to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and UHealth-University of Miami Health System. Shaw has been named chief financial officer and associate vice president for medical financial affairs.

 

Shaw, who is a certified public accountant and a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, has served in numerous leadership capacities within the health care industry. Most recently, he was partner with Dallas-based Financial Resource Group, LLC, a position from which he was contracted as interim chief financial officer and interim chief operating officer for UM affiliate Jackson Health System. He also served as chief transition officer in charge of overseeing the health system’s change in chief executive officers.
