August 10, 2022 – Steve Weinstein has been appointed to the Board of Directors at SanMelix Laboratories, in Hollywood, Florida. Steve recently retired after a 20-year career with Johnson & Johnson and most recently was the Head of Supply Chain & Operations at Zarbee’s, Inc., a leading Health & Wellness company acquired by J&J in September 2018. He is the sixth board member to be appointed to SanMelix, a leader in bioactive advanced wound care dressings and skin care.

At Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc., Steve was responsible for collaborating with cross-functional global business partners and regional supply chain partners to ensure that the supply chain network delivered high quality, reliable products at an efficient cost for brands including Johnson’s Baby, Neutrogena, Aveeno and Zarbee’s. Under his direction and leadership over the past 3 years, Zarbee’s Inc. grew an average of 30% annually while saving over $1M annually from revised supply terms with core third-party manufacturers. Mr. Weinstein and his team also reduced supply risk by dual sourcing all key RMs and secured increased capacity of 50-100% on core product forms to meet forecasted growth targets over the next 3-5 years.

As an advisor for SanMelix, Mr. Weinstein will provide guidance regarding joint ventures, product development, manufacturing, distribution, and M&A activities including financing options, to advance the introduction and sales of SanMelix’s products, which focus on the unique medicinal properties of buckwheat honey for wound healing and skin protection. Mr. Weinstein’s 30 years of knowledge and success across supply chain, marketing, innovation and M&A activities in health & beauty, skin health and wellness product global markets along with his contacts and broad-reaching relationships will help accelerate SanMelix’s growth and propel our success.
