The future of emergency care is arriving to North Broward County as West Boca Medical Center prepares to open its new free-standing Emergency Center, located in Coconut Creek, in early 2015.
 
The Emergency Center will provide high quality emergency care and will be equipped and staffed to handle serious conditions such as lacerations, orthopedic and sports injuries, dehydration, abdominal pain, respiratory problems, head injuries, strokes and heart attacks.
 
The 20,000-square-foot facility will house 11 treatment rooms in addition to triage rooms. It will also include advanced imaging equipment including a low-dose 64 slice CT scanner, two ultrasound units and two X-ray units, one portable and one stationary.
