West Palm Beach City Commission President Cory Neering was sworn in as the newest Health Care District Board member by Commissioner Philip H. Ward, III, Board Chair, at the Board’s public meeting on November 28. Commissioner Neering was appointed on September 12, 2017 by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners to serve a four-year term beginning October 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2021. Commissioner Neering will also hold a seat on the C.L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics Board.

Commissioner Neering has served on the West Palm Beach City Commission since 2015 and is the Vice President of External Affairs for Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida. Neering is the current Chair of the Healthy Start Coalition in Palm Beach County. He also serves as the City of West Palm Beach’s liaison for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board as well as the West Palm Beach Housing Authority Board. 
 
Commissioner Neering holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Masters in Science in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Commissioner Neering fills the seat vacated by Angeleta Gray, former Delray Beach City Commissioner, who served on the Health Care District Board for four years.
