April 1, 2025 – The West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System (WPBVAHCS) is honored to announce the renaming of its medical center in West Palm Beach, Fl, to the Thomas H. Corey VA Medical Center. The legislation to rename the medical center on Mr. Corey’s behalf was submitted by local and regional delegates and ultimately signed into legislation by the President in November of 2024.
Mr. Thomas H. Corey was a nationally renowned Veteran, best known for his unwavering advocacy on behalf of those who served and his dedication and role in the establishment of the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.
“Mr. Corey dedicated his life to support Veterans and our great nation,” says WPBVAHCS Executive Director Cory Price. “From multiple trips to Vietnam to support POW/MIA efforts to founding local Veteran organizations, he was truly unstoppable. This special distinction is beyond deserving for him.”
“It is a special kind of a person who can, when faced with such enormous disabling and physical challenges, have the strength and fortitude as Tom Corey has had for so many, many years,” said VVA National President Jack McManus, longtime friend, and fellow advocate.
