The medical staff of Imperial Point Medical Center (IPMC) has elected family practice physician, William Jensen, D.O., as chief of staff. He succeeds Dr. Jason Gates, who served as chief of staff from 2004-2006.
Dr. Jensen is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing for 15 years in Pompano Beach. He will continue with his active practice while fulfilling his duties as chief of staff.
At IPMC, Dr Jensen has served as vice chief of staff from 2004-2006, chief of the department of medicine from 2002-2004, vice chief of medicine and chairman of the credentials and qualifications committee from 2000-2002, and secretary and treasurer of the department of medicine from 1995-2000. He has served as a member of the medical council since 2000 and as a member of the North Broward Hospital Districts Joint Conference Committee since 2004.
Dr. Jensen is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physician, and the Broward County Osteopathic Medical Association.
After graduating medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Jensen completed an internship at the Chicago Osteopathic Medical Center. He finished his residency at Southeastern College Osteopathic Medicine in North Miami Beach, Florida. He is a native of Chicago and resides in Pompano Beach with his wife Susan and their two children.
