Women’s Professional Staff Association at Cleveland Clinic Honors Women in Medicine

In celebration of “Women in Medicine” month, the Women’s Professional Staff Association at Cleveland Clinic in Florida honored three of its women physicians for their achievements and contributions to the field of medicine. Award recipients included Physician of the Year Darby Sider, M.D.; Physician of Achievement Maria Lina Diaz, M.D.; and Physician of Vision Lyssette Cardona, M.D.

Dr. Cardona is a specialist in internal medicine and infectious disease and chair of the Women’s Professional Staff Association. Head of the Section of Ambulatory Gynecology at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Diaz is a founding member of the International Cervical Cancer Foundation and was recently honored as a Hispanic Woman of Distinction. Dr. Sider is an internist who specializes in women’s health and adolescent health.
