The 22nd annual Residency Program graduation was recently held at Wellington Regional Medical Center. The ceremony was led by Jeffrey Bishop, D.O., Director of the Medical Education Program as well as the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer. The Residency Program at Wellington Regional is affiliated with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The eight 2011 Residency Program graduates are Adam Weiner, D.O., Dermatology; Thomas Singer, D.O., Dermatology; Kim Sussman, D.O., Internal Medicine; James Landero, D.O., Internal Medicine; Hadi Siddiqui, D.O., Internal Medicine; Renee Young, D.O., Traditional Rotating Internship; Ben Tishman, D.O., Traditional Rotating Internship; and Vik Belous, D.O., Traditional Rotating Internship.
Special recognition was given to Alissa Tomaiolo, D.O., Chief Resident, who received the Most Valuable Resident Award and Ben Tishman, D.O., the Most Valuable First Year Resident Award. Four clinical professors were also recognized: Dr. Joanna Widdows, the Distinguished Teacher award; Dr. William Stechschulte, the Andrew Egol, D.O. Osteopathic award; Dr. Gordon Johnson; the Resident Choice Award and Ishan Gunawardene, M.D., the Golden Apple Award.
