The distinction places Delray Medical Center in the top 1 percent of nearly 4,500 hospitals assessed nationwide for its consistent, year-over-year superior clinical performance as measured by Healthgrades, Delray Medical Center is the only hospital in the state of Florida to be receive this distinction.

 

Delray Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center, are now certified from an additional agency for their comprehensive stroke programs. DNV GL-Healthcare awarded the new certification to both Delray Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center for their comprehensive stroke care, a prestigious designation reflecting the highest level of competence for treatment of patients who have experienced a stroke.

 

Good Samaritan Medical Center promoted Sheri Montgomery to the role of chief executive officer (CEO). In this role, Montgomery is responsible for all strategic growth, operations and finances for the hospital. Montgomery has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience with an extensive background in hospital operational, financial and strategic excellence.

 

Good Samaritan Medical Center is now offering MRI precision targeting for prostate biopsy guidance, a new tool for physicians to use to help men in the fight against prostate cancer. The UroNav Fusion Biopsy System by Phillips is a fully MRI-compatible interventional device for Trans-Rectal Interventional MRI of prostate gland.

 

Good Samaritan Medical Center was also a recipient of Healthgrades 2020 Labor and Delivery Excellence Award™. This distinction places Good Samaritan Medical Center in the top 10% of all hospitals evaluated and recognizes the exceptional care of mothers during and after labor and delivery.

 

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center was the first hospital in Palm Beach County to perform a heart procedure with the Impella 5.5™ with Smart Assist®, a new technology to enable heart recovery in patients whose hearts are too weak to effectively pump blood on their own after a heart attack. Cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Nishant Patel, is the first surgeon at the hospital to use the device for a procedure.

 

Delray Medical Center and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center achieved high performance marks in the category of heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for the state of Florida in the annual U.S. News & World Report’s 2020-2021 Best Hospitals rankings for adult clinical specialties.

 

 St. Mary’s Medical Center and The Palm Beach Children’s Hospital promoted Cynthia McCauley, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this role, McCauley continues to be responsible for all strategic growth, operations and finances for both facilities.

West Boca Medical Center earned the award of Favorite Pediatric Emergency Department by Broward Family Life Magazine. Readers of Broward Family Life Magazine, who vote on their family favorites in the community, select the award winners.

 

West Boca Medical Center is also a 5-star recipient for Vaginal Delivery and C-Section Delivery as recognized by Healthgrades, a leading resource that connects consumers, physicians and health systems. This 5-star rating indicates that West Boca Medical Center’s clinical outcomes for Vaginal Delivery and C-Section Delivery are statistically significantly better than expected.
