Broward Health is proud to announce that Frank P. Catinella, M.D., a skilled cardiothoracic surgeon, has been appointed Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Broward Healths Heart Center of Excellence.
Dr. Catinella has been practicing cardiothoracic surgery in Florida since 1988. He earned a bachelors degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, and a doctorate degree in medicine from New York University. Dr. Catinella completed residency training in cardiothoracic surgery at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Catinella has served as a clinical and research fellow at the New York University and Maimonides Medical Center in New York City.
