January 5, 2026 – HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital announced the appointment of Neva Spencer, DNP, RN, NNP-B as its new chief nursing officer, effective January 5, 2026.
Spencer brings more than 30 years of nursing leadership experience to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. Most recently, she served as chief nursing officer at HCA Florida University Hospital, where she helped build a highly engaged nursing team and advanced a culture centered on patient safety, compassion, and clinical excellence.
Widely respected for her visible and collaborative leadership style, Spencer is known for fostering strong partnerships with nurses, physicians, and care teams while driving quality outcomes and exceptional patient care.
