Jan. 27, 2026 — Lee Health is pleased to announce that Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Medical Center, HealthPark Medical Center, and Lee Memorial Hospital have all been named among the country’s 50 Best Hospitals, joining some of the nation’s most elite hospitals that provide outstanding care.
This designation recognizes hospitals that deliver superior quality and patient outcomes across several specialty service lines and focus areas. All four hospitals earned superior performance ratings across numerous specialty areas and ranked in the top 1% of hospitals nationwide.
Cape Coral Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital were all ranked among America’s 50 Best Hospitals for the second year in a row.
Gulf Coast Medical Center has been rated among the 50 best hospitals for the first time and has been praised for coronary intervention, pulmonary, stroke, cranial neurosurgery, neurosciences, and outpatient prostate care.
Cape Coral Hospital received top marks for gastrointestinal, pulmonology, outpatient prostate care, stroke, and gastrointestinal surgery.
HealthPark Medical Center received specialty clinical quality awards for cardiac, pulmonary and stroke care.
Lee Memorial Hospital excelled in cardiac, pulmonary and stroke care.

Healthgrades’ clinically validated methodology focuses solely on patient outcomes and empowering consumers to choose doctors who practice at high-quality hospitals. To determine the top 250 U.S. hospitals, Healthgrades evaluated clinical performance for approximately 4,500 hospitals across more than 30 common procedures and conditions.
According to Healthgrades’ annual analysis, if all hospitals performed as well as America’s 250 Best Hospitals, 211,370 lives could have been saved.
