August 27, 2026 – Palm Beach Health Network is proud to recognize its 2025 Tenet Hall of Fame and Hero honorees, celebrating team members whose compassion, dedication and service embody Tenet Healthcare’s commitment to building healthier communities through exceptional care.
This year’s highest honor, the Tenet Hall of Fame, recognizes two extraordinary nurses whose compassion has forever changed the lives of patients and families they have served.

2025 Tenet Hall of Fame Honorees
Marsha Powell – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Palm Beach Children’s Hospital
Marsha Powell has spent her career caring for the most vulnerable patients, but one unforgettable moment perfectly illustrates why she has been inducted into the Tenet Hall of Fame. When a critically ill infant was nearing the end of life and the child’s parents were unable to reach the hospital in time, Marsha gently held the baby in her arms, ensuring the child was surrounded by warmth, comfort and love during their final moments. It was a profound act of compassion that reflected the very heart of nursing. Those who know Marsha say this was not an extraordinary exception—it is simply who she is every day. Through her unwavering kindness, dignity and selflessness, she has touched countless families during both their most joyful and most difficult moments.
Melissa Brouillette – Emergency Department, St. Mary’s Medical Center and Palm Beach Children’s Hospital
Melissa Brouillette’s compassion extends far beyond the walls of the emergency department. After witnessing the devastating effects of substance abuse and domestic violence on children and families, she and her husband opened their home to foster children, believing deeply in helping families reunify whenever possible. When reunification could not happen safely, they welcomed children into their own family through adoption, ensuring siblings could remain together whenever possible. Today, their home is filled with biological children, adopted children and foster children, all united by love, stability and belonging. Melissa’s extraordinary commitment to caring for children, both professionally and personally, demonstrates that compassion is not simply what she does, but who she is.

Delray Medical Center
Paola Mullin – Certified Nursing Assistant
Paola Mullin has become a driving force behind Delray Medical Center’s culture of compassionate, patient-centered care. Although she began her healthcare career in 2024 after working in banking, she quickly emerged as a role model for employees and physicians alike through her passion, empathy and unwavering commitment to every patient and family she encounters. As a leader on the hospital’s Care Experience Committee, Paola has championed initiatives including bedside handoffs, empathy training, hourly rounding and improved patient responsiveness, while mentoring new CNAs and nurse externs to ensure compassion remains at the center of every interaction. Her influence is reflected in countless positive patient comments, Google reviews and Press Ganey surveys recognizing the exceptional care she provides. The recipient of Delray Medical Center’s first Care Experience Champion Award and 2025 Nursing Support Staff of the Year, Paola leads by example every day, inspiring those around her to live the hospital’s CARE values and making a lasting difference in the lives of patients, families and colleagues.
Florida Coast Medical Center
Christopher Brown – Biomedical Services
Christopher Brown has dedicated his life to serving others. In addition to bringing decades of experience and compassion to Florida Coast Medical Center, he has volunteered as an EMS provider in New Jersey for more than 30 years. At the hospital, Chris is known for stepping in wherever help is needed, whether supporting Plant Operations, mentoring colleagues across Palm Beach Health Network or helping prepare the hospital for major regulatory surveys. He also volunteered his time to help make Florida Coast Medical Center’s first Hanukkah celebration meaningful for patients and staff by reading from the Torah. His service-first mindset, humility and commitment to both his coworkers and the community make him a true Tenet Hero.
Good Samaritan Medical Center
Megan Connors– Rehabilitation & Respiratory Services, Emergency Manager
For more than 20 years, Megan Connors has embodied Tenet’s mission through exceptional leadership, innovation, and compassion. She helped develop the nationally recognized Paley Deformity Correction Program, leads numerous community outreach initiatives supporting children and families, and fosters a culture of employee engagement across Good Samaritan Medical Center. Whether advancing patient care, strengthening community partnerships, or even personally donating blood to help save a pediatric patient, Megan consistently goes above and beyond to make a lasting difference in the lives of those she serves.

Mary Catherine “Surgery Sam” Soltis – Surgical Services
For nearly 40 years, Mary Catherine “Surgery Sam” Soltis has been the heart of Surgical Services at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Known throughout the hospital simply as “Surgery Sam,” she is trusted by surgeons and staff alike for her unmatched reliability, attention to detail and willingness to help at any hour. Beyond expertly coordinating complex surgical schedules, she has played a critical role in implementing new computer systems, developing reports still used throughout the hospital and supporting countless accreditation surveys. Just as importantly, Sam is the first person coworkers call during life’s challenges because they know they will be met with compassion, encouragement and unwavering support. Her legacy of service has shaped generations of caregivers and continues to define the culture of the operating room.
West Boca Medical Center
Antonia “Toni” Pasvantis – Pharmacy
Antonia “Toni” Pasvantis is a compassionate leader whose dedication extends to both patients and colleagues. She works tirelessly to ensure patients have uninterrupted access to medications while proactively navigating shortages and operational challenges. Toni is equally committed to supporting her team, fostering an environment built on trust, accountability and respect. Whether stepping in during staffing shortages, mentoring employees or collaborating with nursing teams to keep patients at the center of every decision, Toni consistently demonstrates resilience, teamwork and compassion. Her leadership has made a lasting impact on the culture of West Boca Medical Center and the care provided to the community.
