September 16, 2026 – HCA Florida Palms West Hospital welcomed community members for an interactive Robotics Night, offering attendees a firsthand look at the advanced robotic technology being used by surgeons across multiple specialties at the hospital.
The event gave attendees an opportunity to see robotic surgical systems up close, interact with the technology and learn directly from physicians about how robotic-assisted surgery is being used in patient care. The evening concluded with a panel discussion featuring members of the hospital’s robotic surgery team, including Dr. James Goad, Dr. Fred Muhletaler, Dr. Alberto Zarak and Dr. Christopher McCann.

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by the SRC and has continued to expand its robotic surgery program, investing in a fleet of robotic surgical systems that supports procedures across multiple specialties including general surgery, gynecology, urology and bariatrics.
The program is positioned for continued growth as HCA Florida Palms West Hospital moves forward with its ongoing expansion project. Expected to be completed in May 2027, the project will add 42 beds and include dedicated space for robotic surgery patients, further supporting the hospital’s ability to meet the healthcare needs of the growing community.
