Kissimmee, Fla. – Sept 17, 2026 – HCA Florida Osceola Hospital announced today that its trauma center has been verified as a Level II Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), providing independent national validation of the hospital’s capabilities to care for seriously injured patients.
HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is already designated by the state of Florida as a Level II Trauma Center. ACS verification represents a separate, voluntary and independent review in which trauma experts evaluate a center’s readiness, resources, policies, patient care, performance improvement processes and other components of its trauma program against national standards.
For patients and families, the achievement provides additional assurance that when a serious injury occurs, the hospital has demonstrated the people, resources and systems necessary to provide Level II trauma care.
