September 15, 2026 – Psychiatrist Jacqueline Seikunas, M.D., has joined Marcus Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health. Her clinical interests include consultation-liaison psychiatry, which focuses on the connection between mental health and other medical conditions, as well as addiction psychiatry. She is also interested in the mind-body connection and incorporating holistic approaches such as breathwork and meditation into psychiatric care.
Dr. Seikunas joins Baptist Health following her psychiatry residency at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, New Jersey, where she served in several leadership roles. She was executive chief resident from 2025 to 2026, overseeing clinical, educational and administrative functions within the residency program. She previously served as co-chief resident for medical student education and developed teaching initiatives for medical students. Dr. Seikunas earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada.

Dr. Seikunas believes psychiatric care should be individualized and collaborative. “There is no one-size-fits-all approach in psychiatry,” she said. “I want to understand each patient’s experiences, goals and needs so that together we can develop a treatment plan that feels sustainable. My goal is not simply to treat symptoms, but to help patients better understand themselves, build resilience and work toward becoming the best version of themselves.”
