Dr. Mejia-Acosta recently opened her practice in Hialeah, and is on-staff at both Hialeah Hospital and Palmetto General Hospital in Miami-Dade County. Dr. Mejia-Acosta has been practicing medicine since 2000.
Ikna Krysiak, D.O., a specialist in diabetes, endocrine system diseases and disorders, opens a Sunrise practice with TFPS. Dr. Krysiak is on-staff at Florida Medical Center, a Campus of North Shore. Prior to joining TFPS, Dr. Krysiak provided care for patients as an endocrinologist at Dupage 
Medical Group in Lisle, IL.Colorectal surgeon Hayder H. Al-Azzawi, M.D., opens his practice on the campus of Good Samaritan Medical Center where he specializes in colorectal cancer and anus, colon and rectum disorders. Dr. Al-Azzawi completed his Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston. Prior to that, he finished his residency and internship in general surgery at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN.
