In the spirit of true collaboration, Broward Health Community Health Services (BHCHS) joined forces with Community Access Center and other local partners to host a Power Shower, a unique group baby shower, for more than 60 expectant local moms at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center in Pompano Beach. The event consisted of informative lectures on breastfeeding, dental care, shaken baby syndrome and much more , including a visit from State Rep. Representative Gwyndolen Clarke-Reed. In order to meet the specific needs of the community members, the lectures were held in Spanish and Creole. Participants were treated to lunch and gift bags to help with their new arrivals.
