According to VITAS Healthcare, VITAS is planning to build an inpatient hospice unit in Delray Beach – its first company-owned and designed unit in the country, since all its other units are leased and renovated. The 14,000-square-foot free-standing hospice unit will feature eight private patient rooms, a satellite office and a community center where VITAS will host events for the community such as bereavement support groups, volunteer training and development, special events and more.
VITAS is opening this unit as part of its commitment to meet a growing demand of end-of-life care services within that community.
