Good Samaritan Medical Center unveiled its new $3 million electrophysiology lab during a recent ribbon cutting ceremony. Local city officials and guests toured the lab and learned how it will be used to treat patients suffering from heart rhythm disorders. The most significant feature of the room is the Carto 3 System, which uses electromagnetic technology to create 3D maps of a patient’s heart.Mark Nosacka, chief executive officer of Good Samaritan Medical Center, thanked guests for their support as well as the clinical team’s hard work and dedication, adding the lab is helping the hospital become one of the most advanced providers of electrophysiology treatment in South Florida. Jeri Muoio, mayor of West Palm Beach; Dennis Grady, chairman of the hospital’s Board of Directors; and Dr. David Weisman, medical director of cardiac electrophysiology, also addressed guests.
