Erika McCullough has been promoted to senior director of market development at VITAS Healthcare in Broward.An experienced healthcare sales professional, Erika joined VITAS in 2009 as a representative serving VITAS’ Pittsburgh program. In 2010 she was promoted to director of market development and two years later, she transferred to VITAS’ Broward County program working in the same capacity. As a testament to going above and beyond her role, she was named to VITAS’ prestigious Leadership Council in 2009, and from 2012 to 2014. Prior to joining VITAS, Erika served as senior sales representative for GlaxoSmithKline in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
She received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. Erika is a licensed Assisted Living Facility Administrator.
Jose Velez, MBA, has been appointed director of market development at VITAS Healthcare in Broward.
Prior to joining VITAS, Jose served as physician relations manager and then as associate administrator and director of business development for Tenet Healthcare’s Coral Gables Hospital in Miami. Before that, he worked for Humana for eight years, where he held several positions including Medicaid sales and marketing manager for Broward, Palm Beach and Belle Glades. Earlier in his career, he served as director of operations for Miami Dade Health and Rehabilitation Services where he assisted in developing strategic programs and sales efforts to increase annual sales.
Jose earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Miami and a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Fort Lauderdale.
