Stephanie Gernant, PharmD., M.S., assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) College of Pharmacy, was elected as the New Practitioner Officer of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Academy of Pharmacy Practice Management Executive Committee.
Dr. Gernant’s research focuses on the pharmacist’s role in transdisciplinary health care teams within accountable primary-care settings. She serves as coordinator of research and grants through NSU’s Accountable Care Organization Research Network Services and Education initiative (ACORN SEED).
She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Ohio State University, Master in Medication Safety degree from Purdue University and Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed a post-graduate residency in an early Pioneer Accountable Care Organization.
