Palm Beach Atlantic University President Dr. David W. Clark has appointed Dr. Linda Green Miller as dean and professor of the School of Nursing at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Previously, Dr. Miller was dean and professor of the School of Nursing at Jacksonville University, where she established several new programs and led the move to a new nursing education building. She served at Jacksonville University since 1995. In addition, Dr. Miller served as the founding chair of the department of nursing at Liberty University in Virginia.

Dr. Miller earned her doctorate in nursing and a masters degree in nursing from the University of Virginia. She also holds a bachelors degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina. She has served as a site visitor for accreditation for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and was an advisory board member for Nursing Excellence Great 100 in Northeast Florida. In addition, she served on the board of directors for We Care Jacksonville, a medical outreach to the homeless, and is a member of the executive committee for the South America Mission Board.

Prior to entering academic life, she was the founding director of the hospice at Lynchburg General Hospital, VA. She was employed in various nursing positions at Barge Memorial Hospital, SC, Seaway Hospital, MI, and Riverside Osteopathic Hospital, MI.
