Broward Health North is proud to announce a new grant funded research study “Does loratadine dosed pre and post pegfilgrastim (Neulasta) injection decrease flu-like syndrome symptoms and increase quality of life in patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy?”
The DAISY Foundation funds research grants “to qualified nurses carrying out clinical research studies that directly benefit patients and/or families involving treatment of cancer and auto-immune diseases.” BHN is the only facility in Broward County to receive a grant from the DAISY Foundation.
Maria Stevenson, RN, is chemotherapy-certified from the Oncology Nursing Society and will be the study’s Principal Investigator.
