Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health Medical Center is pleased to welcome two new pediatric hematologist oncologist to their devoted staff of expert physicians.

Angelica Garzon, M.D., is a board eligible pediatric hematologist oncologist and board certified pediatrician who completed her fellowship in pediatric hematology oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She has also conducted research at New York Blood Center’s Laboratory of Platelet Biology where she studied microRNA of terminal megakaryocytopoiesis.
 
Catalina Ruiz Mesa, M.D., is a board eligible pediatric hematologist oncologist who earned her medical degree at Fundacion Universitaria San Martin. She completed an internship at Fundacion Universitaria San Martin and affiliated hospitals, a pediatric residency at St. Barnabas Hospital and a pediatric hematology oncology fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center’s Holtz Children’s Hospital.
