Parkway Regional Medical Center recently named Nelson Lazo as chief operating officer. Lazo previously held the position of chief operating officer and senior vice president at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL.
A native of South Florida, Lazo began his career in 1986 as an assistant administrator and later a vice president of support services at Mercy Hospital until 1991. Since leaving Mercy, he has held a variety of administrative positions throughout the country.
Lazo attended Barry University in Miami Shores, where he earned his bachelor of science degree, and Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where he earned a masters degree in business administration.
