Residents of Babcock Ranch, the nation’s first solar city, will soon add physician offices and a state-of-the-art health and wellness center, staffed by experts from Lee Health. The Lee Health Board of Directors approved five-year lease agreements for more than 21,000 square feet of space in the Town Center to provide health care services including primary care physicians, rehabilitation services, and health and wellness services to Babcock Ranch residents and the surrounding community.
In April, Lee Health plans to open health and wellness services including individual and group exercise, Pilates, massage, mind and body programs, as well as physical therapy. State-of-the-art equipment will include energy-efficient cardio and strength-training equipment; the facilities will also include a lap pool and multi-use half court for members. These services are expected to be available in April.
The community’s first primary care and medical specialty services will open in the summer, provided by Lee Physician Group. Occupational and speech therapy services will be added as needed.
