Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation has appointed Ed Jachim as Director of Development – Major Gifts at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
Jachim has over 25 years of senior and executive level experience in the profit, non-profit, and higher education sectors developing and executing growth strategies, performance metrics management, creating engagement activities, and facilitating philanthropic priorities. Prior to joining the Foundation, Jachim spent the last four years working for the American Red Cross South Florida Region as the Director of Development where he personally raised a total of $3 million.
Jachim graduated from the State University of New York at Potsdam with a BA in psychology and a minor in economics. In addition, he was a two-time basketball All-American and NCAA national champion. These accomplishments eventually led him to tryout with the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association.
