Orthopedic surgeon and researcher Lionel E. Lazaro, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Medical Group as part of Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute.
Dr. Lazaro earned his medical degree at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico and New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. His post-doctoral training includes a fellowship in orthopedic surgery research at the Hospital for Special Surgery and a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic (Cedar-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute) in Los Angeles, CA.
