The Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged at Douglas Gardens is happy to announce the arrival of a structured outpatient program (SOP) called New Beginnings, which is open to older individuals with psychiatric needs that exceed what typical outpatient services can provide. Patients enrolled in the program attend 3 – 5 times a week for 6 – 8 weeks and participate in two hours of group therapy on the days they attend. New Beginnings program director is Bill Wasserman, who has a wealth of experience in behavioral health management, and Dr. Marc Agronin is the program’s Medical Director.
