Aventura Hospital and Medical Centers Director of Food and Nutrition Services Brad Itzkowitz announced the appointment of James Carey as the new Executive Chef for the 407-bed facility.
Carey comes to Aventura Hospital with a successful 20-year history in the food and beverage industry. Carey graduated from Johnson & Wales University, and possesses a diverse and extensive experience in the restaurant and hotel industry. He has previously served as Executive Chef for prestigious establishments, such as The Grand Bay Hotel, Bice Restaurants, Brasserie le Coze, famed English Actor Michael Caine, several Hyatt Hotels, and for the notorious steakhouses Ruth’s Chris and Morton’s.
