Kendall Regional Medical Center recently celebrated the Grand Opening of its new 165,000-sq.ft. medical building. The $110 million facility houses an expanded 48-bed Emergency Department with 4 trauma rooms and the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including a 64-slice VCT scanner. The new emergency department also features a dedicated pediatric area called Kidsville. The second floor is home to 10 high-tech Surgical Suites, including two for Open Heart surgery, and the third floor contains the 52-bed ICU, with four centralized pods for cardiac, neurological and medical/surgical care.
