Wendy Doogue, a nurse at North Shore Medical Centers C. Gordon Griffith Cancer Center, is one of five state finalists for Nursing Spectrums “Excellence in Nursing” award in the Clinical Care category.
Doogue has been a nurse at North Shore for 29 years. She began her career in the hospitals pediatrics department, where she worked for three years. She then joined the original staff of the cancer center, spending 14 years in the oncology unit before moving to the outpatient center, where she has spent the last 12 years.
